The Teaching Plans of A Tale of Two Cities
1 Teaching goals:
A> Let the studens know something about foreign literature.
B> Ask the students to learn to use some important structures,such as“couldn`t have been watching”, “must have been mad”, “might have called”,“might have been caught”and so on.
2 The difficult and important points:

画面上依次显示艾菲尔铁塔,98`World Football Cup 和闻名世界的巴黎时装表演.
All these pictures are used to make the students think of a famous city---Paris.
画面上显示一些古老的建筑,时间提示over 200 years ago ---这使学生想起 the French Revolution in 1789.
画面上接着显示在法国当时的阶级斗争,然后出现一幅名画-----<自由引导人民>并显示the French Revolution in 1789.
最后出现的是: 一辆马车趁着夜色来到城门并在城门接受士兵盘查的情景------从而拉开本课的序幕.
STEP2
PRESENTATION 播放 对话录音 显示以下问题:
Question1: Where did RevolutionaryB want to go?
Question2: How did B get into the castle?
Question3: What did B want to do in the castle?
Question4: Who helped him? Why?
A few minutes later,check the answers with the students.
ANSWERS: 1, He wanted to go into the castle.
2, By hiding in the farmer`s cart.
3, He wanted to light a fire.
4, A servant.
Because she knew the revolution was for the poor.

Point1)The French Revolution,in which the poor of the cities and the peasants in the country rose up against the king and the nobles broke out in July 1789.

动画内容: Mary 一天在家休息,突然一个篮球破窗而入.Mary 迅速做出反应:这是谁干的?-----Who could have done that? 在她的印象中有几个怀疑对象(Fred. Mike.Sam.Bruse)并根据他们的日常表现,Mary使用了不同的句式对他们进行了推测.
