Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Warm up
Intro: I’m Steve.
I’m 100 years old.
I’m from America.
(Have the kids tell if it’s a lie or a truth)
Teach the words “lie” and “truth”
Ask the kids to tell me a lie and one truth.
Step 2 Learn a song
To the supermarket(2 times)
We will go, we will go
Buy some ______, buy some_______
Come on! Let’s go.(2 times)
Step 3 Buying things
Use flashcards or pictures to teach the words for fruit, food and drinks
Ask several kids each time to go to the front and buy things from the supermarket, singing the song together.
Have the other kids ask the questions below:
1. Where are you going?
2. What will you buy?
(Make a shopping list of all the things the kids buy.) Help the kids buy things from the supermarket.
